Plagiarism Policy
IJEFA is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. Every manuscript submitted to the journal must be an original work that has not been previously published, in whole or in part, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that all ideas, data, figures, tables and quotations derived from the work of others are appropriately cited and acknowledged.
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. The Editorial Board evaluates the similarity report to distinguish legitimate citations, references and commonly used terminology from potential plagiarism. Manuscripts containing evidence of plagiarism, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism without proper citation, data fabrication, data falsification or other academic misconduct may be rejected immediately or returned to the authors for clarification and revision.
IJEFA generally expects manuscripts to have an overall similarity index of no more than 20%, excluding references, quotations and properly cited sources. Editorial decisions are based not only on the similarity percentage but also on the nature and context of the overlapping text; even manuscripts with a low similarity score may be rejected if unethical publication practices are identified.
If misconduct is discovered before publication, the manuscript will be rejected. If it is identified after publication, the journal reserves the right to publish corrections, issue expressions of concern, retract the article and notify the authors’ affiliated institutions where necessary.
